Richard Stayner participates in British and European Standards groups in the field of human effects of vibration (BSI\GME/21/6, CEN/TC231) and has chaired panels that draft standards for whole-body vibration and seating. He has also been involved in vibration aspects of committees that are responsible for agricultural and forestry machines, and for earthmoving machinery.
